I have been sporting the BlackBerry Curve 9300 (Aka Kepler) for the last week courtesy of Negri Electronics and I have been quite impressed with the OS so far. I started with OS .637 then moved to .758 and so far it has been truly solid. I guess RIM has had some time to iron out the kinks with this device since it is almost identical to the 8520 with the addition of 3G and GPS.
