The otter box 83xx series edition is by far one of the best protections out there for your beloved BB devices and today am going to tell you why that is. This protective case comes with a triple layer protection that seals your blackberry away from being damaged byscratches, drops and unintentional bumps that tend to get your all worked up every time you do something to your precious device.
There are only two colors for you to choose from: yellow or black. I went with black since it goes better with my red curve. There are four pieces that make up the protective case: the protective plastic cover that goes first on the BB, a two-piece hard shell and the top cover made of silicon. The case covers your Blackberry completely and keeps it clean. Even though your blackberry is covered at all times, the silicon case comes with easy access buttons for all of your handy keys on the side. This case also comes with a holster to carry your Blackberry on, and the best part about this holster is that it comes with a sleeper magnet. Simply put, when you holster the Blackberry, it goes into standby or sleeper mode and is locked.
The plastic cover was easy for me to install, just started by adjusting it to the keys from bottom up, that way it fits well on the keys, then it makes it much easier for you to get any air bubbles out from the screen. The Otterbox offers a couple of tricks on how to best do this along with your case. Once you get through the plastic cover, the hard shell just snaps in place and then the silicon part just fits right in and you got a fully protected Blackberry.
- Fully protects your BB
- You don’t have to take it out of the protective case to use
- Has a nice feel to it and it’s easy to grip in your hand.
- Doesn’t get dirty
- Protects against dust particles from getting all over your keypad and screen
- The case does make your BB make look a lot bigger, but sure makes up for it.
Overall, this case is well worth the price to keep my blackberry from being damaged. That was my main concern when I got my new 8310, and the Otterbox had just what I needed. And they have a wide range of cases for other models as well.
