The majority of BlackBerry’s critical infrastructure and all of the BlackBerry devices were thankfully spared from the annoying Heartbleed bug. I told you earlier that the latest BlackBerry Link updatelatest BlackBerry Link update was released to fix the Heartbleed vulnerability in that app from attackers on the same local network. I am happy to report that BlackBerry Link was the final BlackBerry 10 product that needed to be remediated for Heartbleed.
Now that all of the problems were addressed BlackBerry has put out this chart of the affected BlackBerry products and when they were patched:
As you can see most of these vulnerabilities were on BBM and Secure Work Space for Android and IOS. Thankfully those were quickly patched but BlackBerry Link took a bit longer.
