Well this goes and confirms rumors we have been hearing from multiple sources. John Chen was on hand for the BlackBerry Z3 launch in Indonesia and he was the star of the party. (Check out our review of the BlackBerry Z3) Chen went out and confirmed that there are 3-4 more devices in the current roadmap. Essentially we have the much awaited BlackBerry Classic keyboard phone along with another all touch and keyboard device. The keyboard device is most likely going to be the Windermere and we are hearing about another low end keyboard device coming from Foxconn. Chen also confirmed that they were working with Foxconn for the Windermere if it does come out.

Here is what he said:

“After BlackBerry Jakarta, now we are again working on the latest BlackBerry with either 3 to 4 [new devices planned]. Yes, there is the keyboard, and one of them is [all-touch] not a keyboard” via gforgames via N4BB

Chen also dashed hopes for entering the wearables market along with no plans for a production tablet or laptop. Here are his words:

“To wearable devices such as smartwatch or smartglasses, we do not have a plan,”

“Before you ask again, we are also no plans for production of laptops and tablets. Tablets may be used if it is [of interest], but now is not,” Chen added. “We now focus on consumer devices and enterprise servers. Moreover, it is not our plan at this time,”

Seems like we have an exciting lineup coming. I really hope the Windermere comes to market!
