This week, Security Products magazine – a media outlet for security professionals, has awarded BlackBerry with the Govies Government Security Award, for not one but TWO of the BlackBerry services. These awards are awarded for BlackBerry’s initiative in the enterprise segment. In short, BlackBerry was honored in the categories of Data Security and Access Control for BlackBerry Enterprise Service 10 (BES10) and Secure Work Space for iOS and Android respectively.

So what is the Govies award? The Govies award is given to companies for providing outstanding security products and solutions to federal, state and local governments in categories critical to security executives and decision makers. It is no secret that BlackBerry excels in this where they have been a major player for more than a decade already. To highlight this, it is good to note that all seven of the G7 governments and 10 out of 10 of the largest global enterprises in each of the pharmaceutical, law firm and automotive industries relies on BlackBerry services.

Congrats to BlackBerry nonetheless!
