BlackBerry is really hitting hard in the MDM (Mobile Device Management) space recently as they try to win back a market they left fallow for a few years. Their executives have been making some pretty bold claims on how BlackBerry remains the largest MDM by a large margin even if most of those devices are BlackBerrys. Now BlackBerry is stressing how pure play vendors who just do MDM have their days numbered. Joe McGarvey has fleshed out BlackBerry’s argument in his latest “Requiem for MDM Pure Plays.” He details out how there were over 100 MDM vendors in 2013 and how that number is shrinking quickly.
Essentially Joe plays out how MDM is moving towards Enterprise Mobility Management where it goes way beyond email and being able to wipe a device remotely. This requires solutions like containerization and the ability to route traffic back to the enterprise network securely. This has been BlackBerry’s bread and butter for years…

Good. I think they need to focus telling people why BlackBerry is more secure.

Agree.
Its also worth noting that Blackberry has invested years of research and development for Security. What the Competition is achieving today has already been done by years ago.
