BlackBerry Announces Porsche Design P’9982 Smartphone

After all that leaks that we had, the rumour launch dates, the BlackBerry Porsche Design, P’9982, is finally officially unveiled. The Porsche Design P’9982 smartphone from BlackBerry will be available from Porsche Design stores, select carriers and retailers around the world beginning on November 21 with the exclusive retail launch at Harrods, Knightsbridge, London. The availability elsewhere has yet to be announced, but for those of you eyeing the device, prepare your wallets (Approx USD$2,400!).

500 pieces of a limited edition P9982 will be made available as well which will feature Crocodile leather back. However, this will be exclusive to the Porsche Design shop-in-shop at Harrods, London.

Following the footsteps of the P’9981, the P’9982 will carry a special series of “luxury” PIN numbers as well.

The Porsche Design and BlackBerry will also be complemented with exclusive after market accessories such as the handcrafted backdoors made from fine Italian leather that will be available in three colors, so you can choose a look to express your individuality.

However, this device is powered with the same internals as the BlackBerry Z10. So, be forewarned that this mighty beast might not hold a candle to the BlackBerry Z30, but it will sure express you in a total different class and limelight. Watch it get unveiled in the video below:
