Blackberry Z10 Battery and Charging Bundle Review

IMG_00000706_hdrI know this might seem a little late to the party, but one of the accessories I have had the hardest time getting my hands on with out over paying has been the LS-1 Charging Bundle.  I was able to find it in stock over at MobileFun.com with the best price I have seen on the internet (as a whole with shipping).

IMG_00000707_hdrI was surprised at how compact and small it was, and how the cable to connect to the device is able to be twisted to put back in the charger, when not in use.  I put it to the test using one of my PlayBook Chargers (I always use the PB charger when charging my Z, because I do not have a lot of time to be tethered to a charger).  IMG_00000708_hdr

Once I drained both batteries to below 10%, I set up the rig, PB charger to charging pod, dead LS-1 installed, and then the external port to my Z10.  Once plugged in, the indicator light on the pod let me know it was charging.  It seemed to do a good job, the LS-1 was complety charged in around a hour and 15 minutes, where the Z10 took around an extra 25 minutes.  It makes sense as the second device would get a lower output.

Now I imagine this would be a 3-4 hour experience on a normal OEM charger for the Z10, but regardless, if you go through batteries like I do, this is a necessity not a want.  I go through 4 batteries some days, and always finding a spot to plug in can be a neusense.  Grab one for yourself at the MobileFun store for $38.99.
