BlackBerry has never really been known for pushing the envelope with their folding or transforming smartphone designs like the Pearl Flip, Torch, Style, and others. Still their latest patent application for a 180 degree rotating hinge on a smartphone is definitely thinking out of the box. It kind of makes me think of a PlayBook that could transform into a laptop of sorts. Maybe even as a slick case. Who knows if anything like this is ever going to release but it is always fun to dream.
