One of the ways BlackBerry is hoping to ease the “App Gap” until they grow their catalog is to piggy back on quality Android ports. I saw a perfect example of this when a friend of mine told me to convert and sideload the Chase Android app on my BlackBerry Z10. Turns out the Chase app works like a charm! I managed to transfer money, cash a check by taking a picture, and more. That means that in less than 5 minutes Chase could support BlackBerry 10. Hopefully BlackBerry has been working with them and many more companies to do just that!
BTW Luis has a great thread running in the forums on what Android apps work well when sideloaded to the BlackBerry Z10. Personally I am shocked that Google Maps, Google Voice, and WhatsApp work very nicely except for them not having access to the phone contacts. Hopefully that is something that can be fixed.
