BlackBerry already told us that they are using TeleCommunication Systems navigation, maps, and software in BlackBerry 10. Its an impressive app for car navigation and traffic but there are still features I would like to see. Mainly I want transit directions along with multiple routes options and a few other features. In TeleCommunication’s announcement of BlackBerry 10 they did include a line that confirmed rumors I have been hearing. They said that:
The mapping and navigation solution includes a series of planned updates and innovation to expand the feature set and to enhance the content and user experience.
In other words we will be seeing some planned improvements to the navigation app in BlackBerry 10 hopefully sooner rather than later. I am also glad to get official confirmation that their partnership for BlackBerry Maps has more planned for the future and is not going to be static.
