Microsoft has made the inevitable announcement of retiring Windows Live Messenger this week. (via The Verge) They announced that they will be killing off the service on March 15th in favor of their recently acquired Skype service. It will be retired globally except for China though I am not sure if they will keep the service running for others or just no longer offering clients. Either way it looks like Skype is Microsoft’s future. I just hope that it makes its way onto BlackBerry 10 close to launch!
BTW does anyone still use Windows Live Messenger? The only person I know still on it uses it because they have a Microsoft Collaboration server in their company that uses it.
