RIM just had a party on each coast of the US tonight to celebrate the launch of the BlackBerry 10 Gold SDKs. This is a huge event for RIM and a lock down of the functionality so devs can now make production ready apps and launch them. I am still digging through the latest documentation but RIM has really pulled off an amazing feat. I asked Vivek Bhardwaj, head of software portfolio @RIM, what was his favorite BlackBerry 10 feature for developers and he had a great response. He was impressed that BlackBerry 10 SDKs allowed developers to create apps that look better than RIM’s own apps. Cool right?
The other big mention was that Untappd will be bringing their beer social network to BlackBerry 10 with a WebWorks app. Kudos to @AlexKinsella on that one! Shout outs to @itssamlowe, @DonnyHalliwell, @jcarty and everyone else who pulled off the NYC party. Was awesome to meet everyone there and hope to see you at the launch party in less than 2 months!
