I have always loved the feature on my Panasonic house phone that reads (or attempts to read) the name of the caller ID out loud. This makes it much easier to decide if I need to run and pick it up. Jason let us know that Phone Funda has recreated this experience on BlackBerry smartphones with their now free Call ID Reader app. (they still have a paid $0.99 app for some reason)
Either way the app lets you set the volume and also direct the audio to play over the speaker or Bluetooth which is useful. You can find Free Call ID Reader in App World. I have not had a chance to try it myself yet but its on my install list for later so let me know how it goes!
