I was waiting for some official word on this now that Windows 8 is coming out in a few days. RIM has put up a new knowledge base article today about support of BlackBerry Desktop Manager 7.1 on Windows 8. The good news is that BlackBerry Desktop Manager will function on Windows 8 BUT .NET Framework 3.5 must be installed (Available here) and enabled prior to the install. RIM also promises that a new release of BlackBerry Desktop software will be released in the coming weeks to “provide enhanced support for Windows 8 users.”
Let us know how it works for you if you install Desktop Manager on Windows 8!
