RIM Opens Up New Tech Center for Developers in the UK – More Coming Soon!

BlackBerry Tech Center UK

Developers in the UK now have a Tech Center to stop by and get some help and guidance from RIM. As they promised at BlackBerry Jam they have opened up the doors of their first BlackBerry Tech Center in their Slough office in the UK. It will be open daily from 9AM to 5PM. Devs will have a dedicated workspace there to create BlackBerry 10 apps and RIM’s developer evangelist team will be on hand every day for expertise and guidance. Think of it as real live developer support for free!

Each day of the week will have a specific theme to it for developers with the current schedule being:

Monday: Native/Cascades™/Qt
Tuesday: Android™ porting
Wednesday: BlackBerry® WebWorks™ and HTML 5
Thursday: iOS porting
Friday: Windows Phone porting

RIM is also planning on opening up new Tech Centers in Silicon Valley, Indonesia, and Vancouver including one they have in Waterloo. I am really liking where RIM is going with this.

Thanks Ofutur for the tip! I am sure you plan on making use of the Tech Center 🙂
