RIM put up an interview on their Inside BlackBerry for Business Blog with Pete Devenyi, Vice President Communications Platform Group at RIM, where he talks about the upcoming Multi-Platform BlackBerry Enterprise Solution. Quite a few customers are looking for one solution to manage their BlackBerry, iPhone, and Android deployments and RIM is addressing that need with the acquisition of Ubitexx. This upcoming solution will start hitting beta mode this summer ramping up to a release within the year. I know this was a strategic announcement by RIM since many companies are looking for a single solution to manage all devices and RIM wants to let them know it is coming.
It is interesting to see Pete talk about RIM finally supporting a multiplatform solution. He also mentioned that there is a limited preview release that Ubitexx is offering at www.ubitexx.com/preview for the first 1000 customers or so who sign up. If you check it out let us know!
