While checking out the new Facebook 2.0 update in beta zone I noticed that RIM has a bit of a celebration on their hands. They have managed to hit over 100,000 registered Beta Zone members since a year ago. To celebrate that accomplishment they have decided to give out prizes randomly today and tomorrow (April 11-12, 2011) to beta zone members who have completed their User Profiles.
I have to say RIM has done a pretty amazing job with the Beta Zone. They have managed to drag RIM Legal kicking and screaming the whole way and even with the unending number of legal “agreements” RIM makes you agree to it still works. They also stopped leaving apps and software in there months after public release. I just wish they would find a way to use BlackBerry ID for the beta program instead of these ridiculously long registration codes.
So what are you waiting for? Make sure to fill out and update your Profile! See below for instructions:
- Please visit the BlackBerry Beta Zone and update your profile.
- To update your PIN, go to Profiles -> Edit -> Contact and scroll to the last question.
PS: Anybody find it kind of odd that BlackBerry Theme Studio 6.0 beta 2 is still in the Beta Zone when OS 6.1 is only a few months away?
