I was really enjoying the Verizon/AT&T wars last year where they bashed each other on coverage. It seems like 4G claims may start that up again! I noticed that VerizonWireless pointed out an article by PC Magazines Sascha Segan titled “How AT&T Totally Flubbed 4G.” Verizon’s Twitter account chose this quote “AT&T is lying about 4G Shamelessly” from their Twitter account.
The PC Magazine article is an interesting take on the subject since nobody truly has a 4G network in the US. Still that has not stopped every carrier from calling a service on their network 4G. According to the standard there really is no 4G network though LTE and even WiMax are at least a new generation of technology.
What do you think? Is it time for carriers to prove their 4G network is actually worthy of the title or will it just be marketing speak?
