Mobiola xPlayer Updated to v2 With OS 6.0 Support and More

Xplayer

It has been ages since I last heard of Shape Services Mobiola xPlayer. WAY back in the day this was one of the only decent MP3 players available for BlackBerry until RIM shaped up their game a bit. Shape kind of forgot about it for awhile with little to no updates in the last few years. Tashanna let us know that xPlayer has been revived again by Shape and Mobiola in two new versions. There is a free ad supported version and a paid $9.99 ad free version with a 7 day trial.

Here is the change log we spotted on The Sauce Report:

  • Full support for OS 6.0 devices
  • Dropbox integration: if you have a Dropbox account, you can log in to your Dropbox directly from xPlayer, add files to playlist from Dropbox, manage playlists with Dropbox files and playback mp3 files directly from Dropbox. You don’t need to download them. It’s recommended to use Unlimited data plan or WiFi connection to playback files from your remote Dropbox. To create a Dropbox account go to www.dropbox.com.
  • We split xPlayer into xPlayer (LITE version with Ads) and xPlayer Pro (with 7 days trial)
  • We cut prices to xPlayer Pro to $9.99.

I cannot seem to find more details on the DropBox implementation but I am having a friend check it out since I am a SugarSync user. You can pick up both the free ad supported and paid version of Mobiola xPlayer from your BlackBerry at this link.
