RIM posted two new videos from MWC Developer Day that happened yesterday. They seem to really think the hype around the PlayBook is building momentum with both of their sessions packed with 500+ attendees. This video below has Mike Kirkup talking about how the day went along with AppCircus where developers got to pitch their upcoming PlayBook app concepts for a chance to win one. The thing that really stuck out to me in the video was that Mike confirms that NFC (Near Field Communication), Magnetometer (think compass), and OpenGL 2.0 (sweet graphics) are coming in the upcoming BlackBerry devices with OS 6.1 this year. That confirms some of the specs we have heard leaked to date and is again confirmed on RIM’s DevBlog.
The second video features BlackBerry PlayBook AIR developers from RIM and Adobe talking about their Bootcamp session and what they are planning on covering. All in all it looks like devs are excited to learn what they can do with the PlayBook.
