The RIM blog just mentioned a new app they have just introduced called “BlackBerry Radio” which hopes to help you discover radio apps on your BlackBerry. The app is available today to “Select BlackBerry Beta Zone users in the United States” so if you are in the US check out www.blackberry.com/beta to see if you qualify. The app does not actually hope to replace the many radio apps but instead puts the many BlackBerry radio apps at your fingertips.
It works with the different radio apps to help you find and listen to radio on your BlackBerry offering you a sample from their “Popular partners.” You can listen to some of the radios channels and if you like them you can simply download the app. They have also integrated the app with the Amazon MP3 Storefront allowing you to purchase songs that you are playing using the menu.
Let us know if you get into the beta!
