One of our tipsters let us know about a promotion that RIM has going that still has my head spinning. They have teamed up with AmazingMail to offer up the ability for any BBM user to upload a photo and create your own personalized BlackBerry Messenger PIN postcard. You can then have RIM/AmazingMail send the postcards to up to five or your friends so that they can BBM you. My mind is still blown… Sending somebody a postcard to IM you. I want to meet the guy who came up with this idea!
Not sure what the limitations are on this promotion but I know it works in the US. I cannot find any official verbiage on RIM’s website but I know RIM sent an email out in their newsletter promoting the “service.” Hopefully it pans out for the millions of BlackBerry users who have always wanted to send out personalized postcards with their PIN number.
