Once of the things I have missed on my BlackBerry Torch 9800 is the second convenience key I had on my 9700. There have been a few solutions that let you press and hold or press the convenience key multiple times but ExtraKeys from ShaoSoft takes a different approach. ExtraKeys makes you volume up, volume down, and mute/play button into extra convenience keys on your OS 5.0+ BlackBerry.
ShaoSoft found a way to make ExtraKeys turn off when you are playing media or running a media app. This includes 3rd party apps like Pandora, Slacker, Nobex, Flipside, Tunein, iHeartradio, and the default media player. I am hoping they expand this app with the push and hold and multiple tap shortcuts but for now I am loving it.
You can pick up ExtraKeys in the store on sale for $1.99 (reg $2.49) at this link. There is also a free trial available for you to try before you buy.
