ScanLife is one of, if not the most, popular mobile QR code scanning apps on all platforms. There are quite a few ways to generate QR codes for any URL from your browser (my favorite being Mobile Barcoder) but ScanLife decided to make it easier with a new plugin for Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. You just install their new ScanLife Browser Extension and it will offer a new “Add to ScanLife” button. There is also the option to just right click on a link to generate a code.
The codes can then be used from any QR code BlackBerry app including their own ScanLife app. You can pick up the new extensions at:
The app generates all three mobile barcode formats including EZcode, QR Code and Data Matrix. Business users can also sign up for a ScanLife account to manage and get reporting on all of their QR codes at www.scanlife.com. via Mashable
