BlackBerry PlayBook Webcast Series Begins Tomorrow!

Developer Webcast When RIM showed off the BlackBerry PlayBook at Adobe MAX late last month they mentioned that there would be a new webcast series on developing for the Tablet OS. Well the time has come and tomorrow RIM will be holding a webcast titled: “Develop for the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK for Adobe AIR.” The webcast will cover how to install and use the new SDK, create an application and test it. There will be both RIM and Adobe experts on the call to answer questions during their Q&A period.

You can register for the upcoming webcast at this link

Date: Thursday, November 4, 2010
Time: 2:00 PM EST / 11:00 AM PST
Presenters:

  • Prosanta Bhattacherjee, Application Development Consultant, Research In Motion Limited
  • Renaun Erickson, Adobe Developer Evangelist, Adobe Systems Incorporated

So far RIM has only released details on developing Adobe AIR apps for the QNX Tablet OS but hopefully they will expand this webcast series to include the other development platforms. This is the first webcast of a five week series so hopefully they will cover the other development environments if there will be any. (J2ME, C, HTML, etc)
