T-Mobile Adds Their Own 200MB $10-15/Month Data Plan

T-Mobile logo It looks like tiered data plans are here to stay. T-Mobile has joined Verizon and AT&T by offering a lower cost data service for customers who barely use the web. You will now have a chance between the Web – 200MB plan or the Web – Unlimited plan.

  • The Web – 200 MB plan will be available for $10 per month with a new two-year service agreement for a limited time or for $15 per month, which will not require a contract.
  • The Web – Unlimited plan will be available for $30 per month.

Both data plans will be sold paired with a voice and text message plan options. T-Mobile has also made their new Tethering and Wi-Fi sharing service plans official. This new plan allows you to add unlimited (5GB cap before throttling) to your unlimited $30 a month plan for an additional $14.99 a month. I am not sure if that means T-Mobile will finally block unauthorized tethering but you can always resort to Tether for BlackBerry.

Last but not least T-Mobile is now selling Gift Cards for the holiday season. I was kind of surprised they don’t already sell them…
