Bla1ze over at CB spotted this video of RealVNC in collaboration with QNX, demoing their support for Nokia’s Terminal Mode. You can see the full press release at this LINK. The system they demo allows users to stream and control actions on their car screen. This would be a really cool feature to have on cars. Full display of your BlackBerry or other Smartphone’s on your car’s dashboard.

By now most of you are familiar with QNX since they are the ones behind the software that will power the BlackBerry PlayBook. I remember when RIM first bought the company many speculated if RIM was going to try their luck in the automotive entertainment side. QNX has been around for a long time and they have developed operating systems for automotive, appliances and other type of electronics. I think buying QNX was probably one of the best investments RIM has made in years.
