Just as they promised late last month, AT&T and RIM have launched the BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 and BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300. This is only a bit later than the originally rumored October 3rd launch date which was invalidated by the official announcement for October 17th.

I am not sure what the hell took AT&T so long to get these two devices out the door. They were announced by RIM WAYYY back in April during DevCon and started showing up on other carriers within months. Carriers in the US have yet to really pick up on the 9100 while I think the device will be a real hit if they gave it a chance…

What do you think? The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is just not worth getting excited over… but will you be rushing out to get a BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100? I can say I am definitely tempted once it gets BlackBerry OS 6 especially with that hot fade to red look.

The BlackBerry Pearl 3G 9100 is going for $149.99 after a $100 rebate down from the retail price of $549.99. The BlackBerry Curve 3G 9300 is going for $99.99 after a $100 rebate down from a retail price of $499.99.
