The RSA SecurID Token BlackBerry app is very popular among business folk which has caused an annoying problem since BlackBerry 6 launched. Their two factor authentication app did not work on the BlackBerry Torch 9800 which stopped many from upgrading to the device. RSA acknowledged the issue and promised a fix in September and delivered. For some reason they don’t seem to be publicizing it very well so I thought I would mention it here.
The new version 3.5.1 hotfix was released by RSA to officially add support for the BlackBerry Torch 9800. I also found that it works like a charm on the BlackBerry Bold 9650 running BlackBerry 6 beta but I don’t think RSA is going to “officially” support a unreleased OS.
