DriveSafe.ly 2.0 Lets You Respond to Text Messages Using Your Voice

DriveSafe.ly-2.0-Screenshot DriveSafe.ly just announced version 2.0 of their app/service which completes the circle for solving distracted driving. Until now the app used to read messages out loud to drivers and respond to the message saying it was read out loud. With version 2.0 once a message is read out loud you can choose to replay the message, speak a response back to the sender, or even call back the sender.

iSpeech also announced that they have opened up API to mobile developers to allow them to add text to speech and automated speech recognition in their apps. The new API allows developers to enable apps with text to speech and voice recognition with SDKs available for the BlackBerry and other platforms. This may lead to some cool apps in the future.
