It was really sad news for me when RIM cancelled their official Picasa app a few years back. Since then we have been relegated to the horrible mobile website that Picasa make available which is just pitiful. The team at Bul System decided to do something about it and created a BlackBerry app called bbCasa which offers you access to quite a few Picasa features from your BlackBerry including:
- View all your Picasa Web Albums
- Share your Picasa Web Albums and Photos
- View info about Photos and Albums
- View and post Comments
- Create Albums and Upload Photos
- Your photos + photos of your friends
I tried the app and it worked nicely though it was a bit slow. It requires OS 5.0+ and worked nicely on my BlackBerry Torch. The bbCasa app is priced reasonably at $2.99 so if you want mobile access to your PicasaWeb account check bbCasa out in the store at this link.
Thanks to Trevor for the tip!

I downloaded this the other day…the next day an update was out changing it to VCASA…The colouring of the blue and white icons changed to white only which doesnt look as nice, but I found the app works great on my 9700 runing 5.0.0. 938….the way the photos are presented is nice. Similar to Facebook but MUCH quicker and more fluid. Nice app for the price.
