Yahoo has decided to devolve from a full featured BlackBerry app to a homescreen launcher for this years Y! Fantasy Football season. Last year they had a pretty solid BlackBerry app that let you manage your team on the go. It had a slick interface and I was hoping Yahoo was going to roll out something similar for all their fantasy leagues.
Turns out that Yahoo decided to do an about face and replace the app with a homescreen launcher that simply takes you to the mobile Yahoo Fantasy Football page. WOOT! Essentially they created a shortcut button. I won’t go into the merits of homescreen shortcuts but if you want to stay on top of your Y! Fantasy Football League you can download the launcher in app world at the link below:
The mobile website works pretty well on the WebKit browser in the Torch but I tried it on a friends 9650 and the whole experience went to hell in a hand basket.
