We told you earlier this month that the team from mblware have been working hard on a sweet new media player for BlackBerry. It is more than just a full featured media player that can stream music and video from your network. It can also act as a media server streaming music and video to devices and other phones.
mblware let us know that they have now released Hypoxia and it is available for $7.99 in the store though sadly there is no free trial. They have also added Twitter support which lets you share what you are watching or listening.
NOTE: Currently it looks like the streaming video from your network is limited to the BlackBerry Bold 9700 and requires the Mblware Network Assistant app.
Features include:
- Wi-Fi Streaming – Stream media to and from supported devices over wifi
- Full Skinning System – Change nearly every aspect of Hypoxia’s look and feel with downloadable Skins.
- Twitter Integration – Share what you’re listening to, or watching with Hypoxia in real-time on Twitter!
- Message Notifications – Quickly preview incoming SMS, Email, and PIN notifications right inside Hypoxia.
- Now Playing Playlist – Add songs, or video to the Current playing playlist
- Album Artwork – Hypoxia will automatically display all Album Art from your songs’ ID3 tag.
- Audio and Video Playback – Support to playback audio and video media files in Full Screen, and Player modes.
- Hypoxia PicShows – Create a custom slideshow of pictures, backed with your favorite audio tracks.
- Keyboard Shortcuts – Many keyboard shortcuts to quickly change to Full-screen, Now Playing and more …
- Bluetooth Support – Stream your favorite songs to a connected Bluetooth device.
