When Carbonite first came out with their BlackBerry app it sadly did not support many of the popular models out there including the Bold 9700. Adam noticed that Carbonite has expanded the supported model list which now includes the: 82xx, 96xx, 89xx, 83xx, 85xx, 9000, 9700 and Storm BlackBerry models. I use SugarSync but I find that Carbonite compares well though its $54.95/year per computer which gets pretty expensive if you have multiple computers like me.
Features of the app include:
- Browse: Carbonite customers can see files on their BlackBerry smartphone arranged exactly as they are on their computer(s).
- View: Files types including PDFs, images, audio and video files, Excel files and Word documents, can be downloaded and opened anywhere and at anytime on a BlackBerry smartphone.
- Share: Files backed up with Carbonite can be attached and emailed easily from a BlackBerry smartphone.
You can read more about the service or download the app at carbonite.com/Blackberry. If you do not already have the service it costs $54.95 per computer per year with unlimited backup space and they have a free 15 day trial available.
