Review: Urbanears Retro Headphones
[rating: 8]
They say everything comes back in style at one time or another, so in a nod to the 1980’s, Urbanears has come up with some retro headphones called Tanto for the BlackBerry. They come in a multitude of colors and have 2 styles available. The Walkman style, called the Tanto, and the DJ style, called the Plattan.
I got to test a purple pair of Tantos and love that the sound quality was not compromised. It sounds almost as if I was wearing earbuds. These headphones also have a tiny mic attached to the cord so you can answer and hang up calls just like the BlackBerry earbuds. I have received a lot of comments about the headphones on where to get them and how cool they look.
The cord is made from a braided fabric. Which looks very nice and seems a little more durable than the traditional plastic cord. The headphones fit nicely on my ears and the headpiece is adjustable so I get the perfect fit. My music is played nice and clear and I don’t have to remove them when I receive a phone call. I absolutely love these headphones and would recommend them to everyone would wants to look different. Whether it’s the Tanto or Plattan, you are sure to make a statement wherever you go. The only thing that turns me off about these headphones is the price. Amazon.com carries them at an astonishing price of $35.00!
