Product: Arctic Sound E352 Earphones

Price: MSRP US$ 69.95

If you build desktop PCs from components, you are probably familiar with Arctic Cooling products, such as coolers and thermal compounds. They are very high quality products and work great. Recently, they have announced their Arctic Sound product line. These earphones come in Standard(E100), Mid-Range(E200) and High-End(E300) series. Arctic Cooling have provided us a sample unit for review purposes.

The E352 is one their high-end earphones. It has in ear design with a wooden chasis. While some other E300 series models are available with a microphone option, E352 comes as earphones only. The specs are:

Frequency Response: 18Hz-22kHz
Impedance: 32 Ohm
Sensitity: 104 db/mW
Output Power: 15 mW
Cable: 1.3m (4.2ft) with 3.5 mm stereo plug
Weight: 5g (0.176 ounce)

The package comes with the earphones, 3 sets of silicone caps (S,M,L) and a nice carrying case. Unlike many other earbuds I used, these ones come with a wooden chasis and a large driver coil, producing warm sound. The bass quality was amazing for an earphone. The silicone caps fits gently in your ear and you don’t even feel they are there. The E352 produces some great sound and does not hurt over long periods of use.

I tried E352 with various audio devices, including my trusty Blackberry Bold 9700. The sounds were very natural and the silicone caps isolate outside sounds very well. Overall E352s are great for listening to your music wherever you are. Highly recommended.

Pros:
– Great bass
– Wooden chasis produces natural sound
– Comfortable and lightweight

Cons:
– In long use, I don’t know how wooden chasis will be effected from wear and tear.
