The Case-Mate Fuel case for my Bold 9000 was the coolest holster I have ever used. It is the ultimate power users tool since it charged your BlackBerry while it was in the holster effectively doubling your Battery life. It was awesome looking at your BlackBerry after a full day of usage and seeing the batter is still completely full!
Terry let me know that Case-Mate is now selling the Fuel case for the BlackBerry Curve 8900 and will soon be carrying it for the BlackBerry Tour 9630. The main downside of the 8900 and Tour versions is that they have the BlackBerry screen facing out instead of in like the original Fuel cases. This is because RIM only put the charging contacts on the back.
Hopefully Case-Mate is working on a variant for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 since I am really missing the double battery life…

I’m really not certain why Case-Mate switched to the face out design but it was a very poor decision and I think it’s enough to dissuade a number of people from purchasing this fuel case.
