S4BB has been plowing forward with free apps. This is coming from a company who charges $10 for a 2 minute timer. They have quite a catalog of free apps but most of them only perform one simple function. You do need to sign up your email address to get the OTA download links but you can always unsubscribe later if you wish.

ShowEventLog
- This brings up the BlackBerry’s internal event log so you can easily see what is going on with your device.
DailyQuote 1.1
- DailyQuote satisfies you with new Quotes every time you open it. It currently supports quotes in English and German depending on the language you set up in your BlackBerry
RandomPasswordGenerator 1.0
- Creates highly secure passwords that can be used for any sort of password based login.
- Fully compatible with BlackBerry® Storm.
RestartMe 1.0
- Hardware restarts the BlackBerry just by clicking on an icon.
- No battery pull or ALT+SHIFT+DEL key shortcut needed.
