After the little tease Engadget gave us back in May this offers a little bit more in terms of details. Engadget could not get past the license agreement but Kevin @ CrackBerry managed to get past it to demo the Storm 2 and OS 5.1 for all of us. There are already newer hardware models and OS versions so this is just a taste once again and it does not look ready for market yet.
So far it looks like SurePress is alive and kicking. The screen still clicks but the hardware is supposedly better and refined. Kind of like how the BlackBerry is a more solid smart phone so hopefully the Storm will get some nice accents.
It looks like there is 256mb of application memory which is a nice bundle. RIM also threw in 2GB of onboard storage which I have yet to ever understand. 2GB is useless since you cannot install applications to it and you can get a 16gb card for cheap that has faster transfer speeds. Hopefully RIM will let you install applications to it in OS 5.0+. This model did not have Wi-Fi but it looks like the release will definitely be adding Wi-Fi to the mix.
So what are you waiting for? Check out the video after the jump!
