Anagram v0.9.9 Released – Capture Contact Info From Signatures

The last time we mentioned Anagram it was sitting pretty at version 0.9.7. Now it is up to 0.9.9 and it looks like it is about to go to a full 1.0.

anagram

In case you don’t remember Anagram is a free BlackBerry application that captures contact information from an emails signature and makes it into a contact or updates a contact from the info. It is also good for capturing meeting information and converting it into a calendar entry.

You can read more about it at this link and send yourself an email with an OTA link. Their OTA links are one time use only so I cannot post it. You can also watch a video of it in action at that link.

  1. Changelog?

I haven’t had problems with the previous version.

  2. Just tried this program with several emails and it works very well. Sometimes it places the name of the person in notes but other times it works very well.

The program even told me that I didn’t copy an email address and asked me if i would like to include the sender email. This is a keeper for me.
