This is a first for a BlackBerry application so I thought it was worth a mention after reading Kevin’s writeup. BB:Robot Scheduler lets you schedule certain actions on your BlackBerry to execute at certain times. Except for the big flaw I listed below this is new ground for a BlackBerry app. You can schedule some pretty cool things making it kind of like a limited Cron scheduler for your device.
NOTE: Currently it has a pretty big flaw from what I hear where it does not remember your scheduled actions after you reset your device but that should be hopefully fixed soon by the developer.
- Easy Scheduler (Alarms/Timers) creation
- Supports daily, hourly, minutely and secondly recurrence
- Highly customizable schedule
- Allows to schedule e-mail (with attachment)
- Allows to schedule SMS messages
- Allows to send Position (GPS) by e-mail on a regular basis with link to Google maps and BlackBerry Maps
- Allows to schedule phone call
- Allows to schedule fake incoming call
- Allows to schedule audio playing
- Allows to schedule vibration
- Allows to schedule ringtone
- Allows to schedule audio recording (voice notes)
- Allows to schedule popup message notification
- Allows to schedule flashing LED notification
- Allows to schedule basic actions :
- Keyboard lock
- Power Off
- Launch applications
- Launch the Browser (with URL)
You can find the app at this link and it is worth keeping a close eye on it. Once the developer fixes the reset issue it should be a great deal for $6 on sale. Sadly there is also no free trial which the dev should address…

This software is a good idea… however a huge flaw in it which will put many people off purchasing including me
is that as soon as you restart your BB all your schedules are lost… the program does not save them
therefore everytime u reboot ur phone or replace the battery u lose all the info…
i wont be purchasing it for this reason as i use quickpulleveryday to reset my BB to clear memory

The latest version does not seem to run on my Storm [ os 4.7.0.151 ] as it repeatedly causes the device to freeze despite multiple battery pulls after installation.

the latest version downloaded a few minutes back has been corrected , so that runs quite well; but cannot access it via Quicklaunch or Shortcutme-TOUCH.
