The BlackBerry Partners Fund invested $3 million dollars into the promising startup Xobni. Xobni is a powerful tool for your Outlook inbox the offers fast searches and nice relationship organization. In the announcement of the investment they mention that they plan on extending Xobni to new platforms. I am curious to know if one of those new platforms is the BlackBerry OS or if they are just talking about bringing it to OSX…
I have always wanted a better search utility for BlackBerry. Even better would be a way to search your BES emails as fast as possible or even the emails on your device. As I said there is nothing definite here but I can see some promise… Especially since the BlackBerry Partners Fund mission is to “deliver superior returns on the compelling investment opportunity in applications, services and supporting infrastructure for the BlackBerry® and other mobile platforms.” So my guess is that Xobni has some plans/designs for the mobile space.
