For awhile now RIM has let us email a contact with an address book entry but that requires a few steps. I always thought that RIM should have an easy way to send your contact information from one BlackBerry to another kind of like Palm had with infrared transfers back in the day. It would be a great way to get rid of business cards…
DubMeNow is trying to do this on their own with their free software. It tries to make it ridiculously easy for you to swap contact information and choose which contact information you want to send. It may be worth a shot if you are interested in such a solution but I think it is stuck in a chicken before the egg kind of situation. If nobody has the software it is no longer easy…
Check it out at www.dubmenow.com and let me know what you think. If you found a simpler way to exchange contacts let me know!

Contxts.com is very simple and uses SMS, which virtually everyone has. The only downside is that it’s difficult to transfer the text message over to your address book. Some updates to their website could help with that though. It’s worth checking out.

Thanks for the review. We’re excited to see so many people using DUB. You can send your contact to anyone, regardless of whether they use the application. We also work via SMS. Check us out at http://www.dubmenow.com and send an invite to Chris to connect with me.
Thanks!
