VyMail Updated – Free Visual Voicemail Client For YouMail

When we mentioned VyMail before it was met with quite a bit of interest so I though I would mention that it has recently been updated. The app essentially lets you see all of your YouMail voicemails and play them automagically. YouMail’s basic voicemail service is free and you can sign up at this link. According to our buddy Mauricio over at BlackBerryRocks this new version is intended to fix some of the problems that Bold and Curve users have been having with some minor additions.

The new version Change Log:

• Changed: Removed the “1″ pre-pending phone numbers when the phone number field is automatically populated on the options screen.
• Added: Some diagnostic info to the About page
• Added: Ability to specify the connection type under options.
• Added: Volume keys change the volume when playing a message
• Added: Shortcut keys similar to email list:
  * space – page down
  * shift + space – page up
  * t – move to the top of the message list
  * b – move to the bottom of the message list
• Note: You may have to re-enter your PIN number in the options screen. Be sure to check this if no messages are showing.
