T-Mobile let me know that they are turning on their 3G network in Washington, DC market in November. On top of that they have clarified that the T-Mobile 3G network is available now in 92 major cities across 21 markets. Next Wednesday when the T-Mobile G1 launches, 95 major cities will be covered by 3G. By the end of November T-Mobile’s 3G network will serve 120 major US cities. They’ve updated their website to reflect the city level detail for customers at http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/.
On top of that we got a tip from one of our secret agents that T-Mobile may not be getting the Bold at all. our source claims that T-Mobile will instead be serving up the Javelin in January or December if we are lucky. I was surprised when I heard the tip about the Bold since I know that RIM was working on a 1700Mhz 3G Bold just for T-Mobile. I wonder if that was scrapped since I know a few people who would love to get their hands on one. On the other hand the Javelin information seems to fit in perfectly with what we have been hearing until now.
As always take rumors with a grain of salt especially since I could not confirm this with another source yet… 🙂 (Will let you know when I do)

I can’t wait to get my hand on the Javelin, and hope we will see the Bold on T-Mo for those who want one. Since we’ve heard about a few more BBs in the pipeline for 2009, such as the “Meteor?” I wonder if I’d rather wait to see what they are packing.
