InfoSync caught some hands on time with the upcoming iDen/Nextel 8350i phone that is set to replace the aging 7100i on the iDen network. Hopefully iDen is not sold before then but you never know. According to InfoSync the new device has a much more rugged feel compared to the regular Curve and weighs more. I like the slick new yellow ring around the trackball. 🙂 It uses Nextel’s walkie talkie interface instead of Sprint’s newer EVDO Qchat walkie talkie service. Release date rumors seem to be floating between the 15th of November and sometime in December.
Anybody waiting for this device to come out?

Or, you could just go to http://www.sprint.com and type 8350i in the search field and get the info on the phone. Then, you could go to or call ANY sprint/nextel store and get put on a list. People, don't be naive!
