Roboform For BlackBerry
Cost: Free

We have talked about the public beta for Roboform for BlackBerry back in June. It looks like things are progressing well.
First and foremost, the OTA download is now a proper jad file, instead of linking to the cod. There is also the cod/alx combo for desktop install. The download is around 450K and install goes smooth. The original beta release would not work on my 8110 running 4.5 OS, but now it worked fine on 4.5.0.52.
When you run the application, it simply looks like a file browser. Following the folders you browse to the folder where your Roboform data files are located:
Once you are in the folder with your files, you can click on a rfp (Roboform Passcard) or a rfn (Roboform Note) or a rft (Roboform Identity) and it will open it if the file is not encrypted. If the file is encrypted, it will ask your password (one gripe here, the password is shown as plain text, no masking it with *) and then display the contents.
In the example above, there were two form fields stored in my Roboform Passcard, username and password.
The current GUI is very limited, you can’t even copy a field (You can select a field, but it will not copy, it will just popup the field contents).
All in all, the application development seems to be in right direction. And if you are like me who rely on Roboform day to day, you’ll be happy to be able to access your passwords quickly.
Pros:
- Your Roboform data is with you on the go
- Can open passcards, identities, notes
- Free
Cons:
- GUI has lots to be desired, but can’t argue much, it still is beta
- Can’t copy/paste
- Can’t fill forms in browser
