Updated: NPR Homescreen Shortcut Joins The Gang

If you enjoy listening to NPR, or even reading NPR online, make sure to pick up the NPR shortcut. I’d never heard this one mentioned before, and was not alerted to it on previous visits to m.npr.org, however as of now you can pick it up.

As an added FYI here is an example of the many BlackBerry shortcut links out there you can pick up. If you have a lot of bookmarks in your browser like I do, it can take a lot of scrolling or navigating folders to get to the one you want. I found it easiest to have a folder on my homescreen containing the shortcut links I like to visit.

Here is a breakdown of the ones I have installed:

If you need some help finding the install link for some of these just leave a comment

  1. As an added note: Some complain that these shortcuts just cut into your precious memory. Answser: These are on average less than 10k, so having a few will never be noticable. If you want to save memory then read the articles on databases posted recently.

  2. How do I set up a “folder” for the icons on a Sprint BB8130?

  3. I have seen this before but don’t know where to get most of these (except for Google & NYT) could you please let me know where i can grab these from…especially BR since i read it ALL the time?! 🙂

  4. When back at the office I will write where to find all these.

  5. @artie;
    From your home screen click the Blackberry button and select “Add Folder”. Once done you can use the Blackberry button to click an icon and then move it to the folder.

  6. Thank you. Artie
