BlackBerry OS 4.5 Eyecandy Screenshots – Part II – Media

The eyecandy continues  Now comes the media player. Notice the new inclusion of the dedicated Voice Notes application. It took long enough!

And the ability to send the voice note as an email.

Sadly as you can see the voice notes are sent in .AMR format which sucks!!! There is a weird option in the properties menu to hide the voice note. Not sure what that is for…

The MP3 audio player got the main major features that I was looking for. An on the go playlist feature.

You will also like the feature upgrades in the options menu of the media application.

The video recorder is in not to be found in the media application. It has its own icon like the camera. It also does not like to be screenshotted .

Yes that is our cat sleeping because it is 3AM. It is also nice to know that you can continue the recording. But if you exit the application it gets closed. You can send the video file as a 3GP file over email.

There are also a few options in the options menu allowing for you to turn on the backlight (Auto, on, off) or add some effects. You can also change the video size and quality from crappy to crappier.

There was no change in the pictures or ringtone application sections so I ignored them. You will see this screenshot pop up if you have audio boost enabled:

The video application has not changed much either other than the control buttons.
